Ever hear the quote, “The money is in the list”?  If you are looking to build your business online using the internet, you will need to embrace list building.  This information will be especially helpful if up until now you’ve been sharing your link for your sales page all over your Facebook wall.  Yes I’ve been there too (#guilty) but I learned there are certain skills necessary to be successful at building a massive email list and expanding your warm market on social media.

List Building and Email Marketing

Chances are you have tapped out your warm market (ie friends & family, your co-workers, your dog trainer, your bank teller… you get the point).  And you know that if you run out of people to talk to about your product or services, that your business will shrivel up and die.  (That or you’ll be supporting a very expensive hobby!)

Know this.  You can be successful without chasing friends and family.  And that path to success is by building an email list of highly-responsive subscribers.

It’s what top marketers do.  They build a highly-responsive list of people that they can market to and sell to again and again.

if you’re building an email list of your own and at some point now you’re stuck and frustrated trying to figure out more creative ways to add subscribers to your email, know that in general it’s not as difficult as you might think. Here are some tips to help you get started with list building and email marketing.

OK, now to give you the best overview of the 4C’s,  This information I acquired attendin an online training this week with Diane Hochman about list building and email marketing.  She shared about the 4 C’s of email marketing.  They are super simple steps that any new marketer or seasoned veteran can implement today.

An Autoresponder.  I have used both free and paid versions but have had the most luck with Aweber because it’s easy to set up and it’s delivery is really reliable.   If you’d like to check out the Aweber free trial, click here.

A Capture Page.  Set up a form for capturing emails using your autoresponder service and when someone enters their name and email, it will go directly onto your list.  There are paid services that offer done-for-you capture page templates so if you’d like to kick your list building up a notch, you might be interested in Funnelizer inside of My Lead System Pro.  Funnelizer lets you create funnels and capture pages using already done high-converting templates.  You can grab a $10 trial with MLSP here.
